The Korhonen are advanced physically, however their technology fails to reflect this. The Korhonen brain an sensory organs are highly developed. This accounts for their advanced telepathy. Of the other hand the digestive system appears to have developed little. The Korhonen have a single 4 chamber heart, when compared to the Human heart it appears more compact and advanced. This allows faster mobility. The blood is a green substance similar to chlorophyll, found in plants.

The Korhonen appear to be absent of reproductive organs of any kind, the way in which the Korhonen reproduce remains a mystery to scientists. Also genitalia are absent, waste products are believed to be disposed of through the skin, in the form of sweat.

The Korhonen are approximately two metres tall. Their eyes are large almond shaped, the nose is about half the size of a human nose and a slit represents the mouth. The Korhonen themselves rely on technology heavily, this could be due to the fact that they are weak physically. In space combat however the Korhonen are usually the Victors, due to their ability to think fast and understand complex strategy and due to the fact that they can handle high G-forces

The Korhonen have demonstrated the ability to induce fear in the minds of their enemy. This is due to the high levels of telepathy they posses. Telekinesis has been witnessed, the ability to handle small objects with your mind, on numerous occasions. 98 in 100 Korhonen's posses telepathy and 23 in 100 Korhonen's display Telekinetic abilities.

The Korhonen culture is based around the "divine light" or Ch'aa'do. Although they do not look it, they are a very spiritual people. They believe of an imminent cataclysm and rebirth, and only the divine will survive. This is perhaps why they have entered into a period of isolation. The Korhonen are very secretive about their culture, this section represents the bulk that we know.

The korhonen believe in the spirit or ku'lo. Once a Korhonen dies its body put in a quasi-stasis chamber to preserve it. It is then returned to Korhonen Prime where a death ritual takes place. The body is wrapped in a cocoon, it is then placed in a grave. If a body can not be recovered, as an alternative they take any DNA samples and any possessions and use these in the ceremony. This is supposed to act as a guide to show the spirit the route to the divine light. Autopsy or any examination of the body is forbidden as the spirit is believed to be harmed. This is believed to be one of the main causes of the holy war with Earth, a body recovered from the roswell crash was vigorously examined. The Korhonen were outraged, they sabotaged several space missions (Apollo 13, Hubbel telescope, Mir), until all out war.

Few rituals have been observed, the only other one worth noting is ritual sacrifice. 98.9% of the Korhonen people possess telepathic ability and 23.6% mild telekinesis, those without either are thought to be impure and are tossed into the holy fire in an attempt to please the divine light and to insure that non telepaths will be eliminated from korhonen society. According to early Mogensen texts, at the time of contact only about 10% of the korhonen possessed telepathic ability, this shows that the korhonen leaders are attempting to improve their race by stopping the spread of none telepathic genes, and if some die then so be it. It would be interesting to know just how far they would go to improve their race, reports are that people with no telekinesis abilities will be the next to die. Reports have been coming in that the Korhonen are messing with genetics, so far these are unconfirmed. Tests on the korhonen in their first years of life single out non-telepaths, few escape through the net. Today, several splinter groups of non telepaths remain, but soon they will be no more.

The Korhonen homeworld, Zeta Reticuli III, from a distance looks similar to earth. However upon close examination signs of massive underground complexes can be seen. Major cities are rumoured to be beneath the surface. This would explain why 60% of the surface is devoid of artificial structures. The only pictures of the Korhonen homeworld were produced by the Hubble array in Earth Orbit. Any ship which survives long enough to scan the Zeta Reticuli system without being destroyed by Korhonen cruisers will reveal a fleet of over 1000 ships, its purpose unknown.

Most of the Zeta Reticuli system is off-limits to visitors. However travelers can visit Korhonen Prime, if they obtain a travel permit before their trip. A permit can be obtained from your local travel office, grounds for denial include species, criminal record, and military standing.

The Korhonen posses a complex language, it took 76 super computers (A5000/750 models) on 4 continents to decipher the Korhonen language. A chart has been produced which has basic translation information. The numerical system is reminiscent of strings of equations.

Little is known about the Korhonen after 2040. Since their defeat by the combined Earth and Mogensen forces they have entered a period of isolation and secrecy.

The korhonen are easily offended whn it comes to their death ritual. Bodies of their dead are sacred, it is a great offense to perform an autopsy of any kind.

Since 2040 several outer outposts have been abandoned, no reason has been given. The central systems of the Korhonen Enclosure have been heavily fortified. Around their homeworld, Zeta Reticuli III, a fleet of over 1000 ships has been formed. Also, a lot of Hyperspace activity has been noted in the same area, one explanation could be that ships are constantly entering/leaving hyperspace to hide their numbers, or their could be another reason.

Only the outer worlds are open to visitors, anyone who strays into the central systems is never heard of again. A flight recorder from the SS Collingwood has been found, it confirms reports of a massive fleet.
